Dr. Ziomek graduated with honors from the
University of Maryland Dental School as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in
1985. |

She then completed a two-year General
Practice Dental Residency at the Wake Forest University/Bowman Gray School
of Medicine in North Carolina. |
| Prior to her dental training,
Dr. Ziomek was a practicing Registered Pharmacist. She received her
pharmacy degree at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 1979.
For a year she worked as a poison control officer at the Maryland Poison Center. She currently maintains an active license in Pharmacy as
well as in Dentistry. |
| In addition, Dr. Ziomek is on
the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and the
Southern Maryland Dental Society School. She also sits on its Continuing
Education Committee. |
| Dr. Ziomek has co-authored
articles for the Journal of the Maryland State Dental Association
dealing with practice management. |
